FUNCTION:
 
Reviews new or system change business requirements to evaluate adequacy of controls. Assists in the performance of end to end testing of new systems and changes to ensure system performs financial, payroll or HR functions as designed, and results are as intended. Assists with Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) by the business owner.

REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
 
This section is composed of Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) which are required to satisfactorily perform the tasks of the position. Applicants must demonstrate that they possess a sufficient level of each KSA to enable them to perform these tasks satisfactorily. Applicants demonstrate these levels by describing examples of experience, education, or training any of which may be non-postal. Ratings are based on the demonstration of the level of possession of each of the KSAs, taking into account provision of Article 33 of the Information Technology/Accounting Service Centers collective bargaining agreement. Failure to demonstrate any KSA is disqualifying. Knowledge of payroll, financial, or Human Resources (HR) systems at a level to test applications to ensure that business requirements are met.
 
Ability to use computer software input and query data and obtain reports/information.
 
Ability to multitask and complete work within stringent timelines.
 
Ability to use written reference materials, interpret instructions, and analyze requirements/design documents to identify and create test data.
 
Ability to communicate orally and in writing at a level sufficient to obtain clarification, present information, and report problems of a technical and non- technical nature in an organized and clear manner that is appropriate to IT professionals and business owners.
 
Ability to develop and execute test scenarios/plans in order to test changes to applications and systems.
 
Ability to analyze and validate test results and make recommendations for correction.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
Applicant must be physically able to perform efficiently the duties of the position.
